{"id":2483,"date":"2016-08-04T17:25:11","date_gmt":"2016-08-04T21:25:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teachingministryofdrmike.com\/?p=2483"},"modified":"2016-08-04T17:25:11","modified_gmt":"2016-08-04T21:25:11","slug":"having-an-attitude-of-gratitude","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teachingministryofdrmike.org\/wp\/having-an-attitude-of-gratitude\/","title":{"rendered":"HAVING AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><strong>HAVING AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Dr. Mike Jones<\/div>\n<div>\nAre YOU aware that \u2018<strong>Gratitude<\/strong>\u2019 shifts your mindset \u2013 Think on whatever is of a good report. And are YOU aware that \u2018<strong>Gratitude<\/strong>\u2019 is contagious \u2013 You can affect others by your attitude.<\/p>\n<p>Scripture says, \u201cBut the hour come and now is, when true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.\u00a0 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and Truth.\u201d\u00a0 (John 4:23-24)<\/p>\n<p>I have a simple question to ask YOU? When God looks at you, does He find someone whom worships Him by being thankful, because He has given YOU, \u201cthis day your daily bread.\u201d He has promised to supply every NEED we have. &#8220;But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.&#8221; Philippians 4:19<br \/>\nNotice what the verse says, God has obligated Himself only to the extent of our needs. That would include food, clothing, shelter, companionship, love, and salvation thru Jesus Christ. It would not include the multiplicity of luxuries that we have come to think of as needs.\u00a0 And If not, then what does He find?<\/p>\n<p>Being grateful is a heart attitude:\u00a0 In Matthew 15:8-9, \u201cThese people, says God honor Me with their words, but their heart really is far away from Me.\u00a0 It is no use for them to worship Me, because they teach man-made rules as though they were my Laws.\u201d Then, He says in Deuteronomy 6:5, \u201cYou shall love the Lord your God with All your Heart, all your Soul, and with all your Might.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Saints, we must offer ourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to His service and pleasing to Him.\u00a0 This is the true worship that also offers up \u2018<strong>Gratitude<\/strong>.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Being grateful and a \u2018praiser\u2019 are needed to get into the presence of God and to set ambushes for the enemy.\u00a0 It should not be done only when you \u201cfeel like it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When we praise something or someone, we talk about the wonderful qualities.\u00a0 People praise many things besides God.\u00a0 When we are in love, we go on and on about that person and tell everyone.\u00a0 We are so happy and excited.\u00a0 Same about spectators at a ball game:\u00a0 they jump up and down, wearing no shirt with symbols on their chest in 20 degree weather.\u00a0 How much more should we express our love and \u2018<strong>Gratitude<\/strong>\u2019 for God.<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>Excerpt taken from the teaching, <strong>HAVING AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE<\/strong><strong>!<\/strong><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HAVING AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE Dr. Mike Jones Are YOU aware that \u2018Gratitude\u2019 shifts your mindset \u2013 Think on whatever is of a good report.
